IFPDA New York Print Fair

The leading dealers in Old Master to Contemporary prints will converge on the Park Avenue Armory, 643 Park Avenue, New York, NY this November 4-7 for the IFPDA Print Fair 2010.

Hours of the show are Thursday: noon - 8:00 p.m.; Friday: noon - 5:00 p.m.; Saturday: noon - 8:00 p.m.; and Sunday: noon - 6:00 p.m.   In addition, a Benefit Evening for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation will be held on Friday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.   Tickets for the benefit and the fair can be purchased at the door or online at www.printfair.com.

The IFPDA Print Fair 2010 coincides with Print Week, a week-long series of lectures, exhibitions, demonstrations, gallery talks and openings focused on printmaking and its vitality as an artistic practice through the ages, with special shows, lectures, tours, and gallery happenings throughout Manhattan and the five boroughs.

Two important panel discussions will be held at the Armory that are free and open to the public.  At 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Joseph Goddu will moderate a discussion on "Sylvan Cole -- Dealer asMentor."  Later on, at 3:00 p.m.  risk managers DeWitt Stern will host "A Framework for Caring for Your Collection," with valuable tips on displaying and storing your important -- and sometimes just much-loved -- works on paper.  Reservations are highly recommended.  Visitwww.printfair.com to sign up.

The most important part of the Fair, though, are the dealers and their prints!  An International roster of 89 leading dealers in prints, multiples, and editions arrive from around the globe with treasures to tempt everyone from the casual browser to serious collectors to curators from the some of the greatest museums in the world.  Come look, wander, browse, and enjoy!  We hope to see you there!
