THOMAS FRENCH FINE ART EXHIBITING AT NOADA ARTEXPO - Featuring Works by Guggenheim Fellow Sedrick Huckaby


 

Thomas French Fine Art will be exhibiting at the NOADA ARTExpo May 10-12 in Cleveland. This year the ARTExpo will take place at the Fred and Laura Ruth Bidwell Foundation's new gallery, the Transformer Station, 1460 West 29th St., Cleveland. There will be an Preview Gala on Friday May 10th 5-9pm followed by general admission Saturday May 11th 11-6pm and Sunday May 12th 12-5pm. Other exhibitors include: 1point 618 Gallery, Bonfoey Gallery, Carl Solway Gallery, Harris Stanton Gallery, Kenneth Paul Lesko Gallery, Shaheen Modern & Contemporary Art, Tregoning & Company, Verne Gallery, and William Busta Gallery.

 

This year, TFFA will feature the work of Sedrick Huckaby (b. 1975). An extraordinary draftsman, Huckaby applies his creativity to his religious devotion and African American family heritage. A recipient of the 2004 Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant Program Award and 2008 Guggenheim Fellowship Award, Huckaby’s work has been acquired by the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Minneapolis Museum of Art. TFFA’s selection of his work at the ARTExpo will include paintings, pastels, drawings, and unique lithographs. As a special treat, the artist will also be traveling from Texas to attend the Preview Gala on Friday.

 

Other works on display will be a group of etchings and lithographs by Pablo Picasso and photographs by Adrienne French. TFFA will also have their usual large selection of flip through bins full new examples of European and American master prints and drawings as well as Japanese color woodcuts.
