2013 IFPDA Print Fair

It’s that time of the year again. The upcoming IFPDA Print Fair begins on Wednesday, Nov. 6 with the Opening Preview. Please see the IFPDA website for specifics.  The Print Fair runs from Thursday Nov. 7 to Sunday, Nov. 10. The show opens each day at Noon and runs through 8PM every day except Sunday when the Fair closes at 6PM. We are located at Booth 109 along the North (67th St.) wall.  We hope that you can attend the Fair and stop by to see us.

Over the last decade, we have worked with the George Bellows Family Trust. We will have many prints with us, including Billy Sunday and Benediction in Georgia. In addition to these prints, we are excited to offer a collection of original George Bellows drawings.  Of the drawings, Evening (Cooper’s Lake, Woodstock) is particularly noteworthy.  Please visit www.GeorgeBellows.com for our complete offerings of over 150 works by Bellows.

We will also be highlighting a group of Japanese color woodcuts. Prints will include those by Kitagawa Utamaro (1750-1806). Considered to be one of the greatest Ukiyo-e (Floating World) artists, his works have captivated collectors since they were created.  Other important examples include a rare print by Suzuki Harunobu (1724-1770), Two Bijin on an Engawa.  We will also have our usual selection of   Japanese prints in the bins including works by Hiroshige, Kunisada, Kuniyoshi, Shunsho, Hasui, Shinsui, Hiroshi Yoshida, and Yoshitoshi.

Finally, we will also have a large selection of European and American Master Prints. European works will include prints by Corot, Signac, Gaugin, and Rouault. More modern works include prints by Gabor Peterdi, Gene Davis, and Zao Wou-ki.

We continue to strive to transition to digital communication, so if you wish to receive our e-newsletters instead please sign up on the home page of www.thomasfrenchfineart.com
